THE IMAGE TUNNEL

THE IMAGE TUNNEL
Refuge tunnel where images of the river bed bounce in the mirror to merge into the aquatic horizon. Fish from our rivers are often active in the morning and in the evening. They occupy specific hunting posts and remain uncovered when the light dims. At the zenith, the river empties of its scales. The aquatic world hides in fear of the violent sun. Fish do not like the solar verticality which opens onto the azure world, a transparent world, a glass mirror, a world of aerial unknowns. Obliques in the morning and in the evening, the rays bounce off the water. The background is reflected under the mirror of the surface. The reassured fish come out to evolve in a cone of identified images. Another world is born in a tunnel where the image of the bottom bounces under the mirror of the surface folded by the movements of water. The azure remains synonymous with dangers. The survival instinct drives the behavior of fish that protect themselves from being too visible. With a dark back like the bottom and a light belly like the surface, the almost invisible fish from the air like the bottom is constantly wary of extra aerials which could disturb its peaceful life in image tunnels.
